NEXUS Academy Launches Postgraduate Program in Maritime and Port Logistics

The first two days of the Postgraduate Program were held at the Port Cyber Arena facility, recently inaugurated by the Port of Sines, comprised within the NEXUS Agenda scope, and conducted by the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

The Postgraduate Course in Maritime and Port Logistics kicked off on January 24, offering a training program aligned with the NEXUS Agenda. The course aims at fulfilling one of the agenda’s objectives, namely enabling professionals in the sector with skills in maritime and port logistics.

The postgraduate course, delivered by the School of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, will run for eight months in a b-learning format, with more than twenty participants.

Being the course’s first edition entirely dedicated to the NEXUS Agenda consortium members, this training program aims to provide professionals with the technical and behavioral essential skills for achieving excellence in maritime and port logistics, following international best practices. It also focuses on integrating skills related to technological innovation, preparing professionals to face emerging challenges, especially those related to disruption and digital transformation.

Maintaining the goals and framework of this first edition, the second edition of this postgraduate program will be open to players in the port and logistics sectors, taking place in the next academic year (2025/2026); registrations will open on September 2025.
